What I had printed out was my “application” and not my “approval”. Super confusing because it looked 100% like an actual visa – with my photograph pasted firmly on the front page (FYI you need it to look like THIS) With “final boarding call” flashing on the departure board and my name blaring, I was sent running around Dubai International Airport in search of a printer. LOL. After speeding to the admin office to banish the bureaucracy, a few more sheets of paper were printed but was STILL incorrect, and although the airline could see it had in fact been approved by India, they couldn’t allow me to board.
